PURPOSE:To obtain uniform favorable printing quality, by providing a leaf spring with which an ink ribbon is engaged and deflects to bring the ink ribbon into contact with a transfer roller when a tension is applied to the ribbon. CONSTITUTION:An L-shaped leaf spring 4c has a shorter side fixed to a cassette casing 4, and a free end of a longer side of the spring 4c is deflected to the vicinity of a transfer roller 4b when a tension is applied to an ink ribbon 1. Recesses 4h and 4i of the cassette casing 4 are engaged with guide pins 2 and 3 on a printer, the ink ribbon 1 led out of the casing is engaged with the guide pins 2 and 3, and the cassette casing 4 is set in a predetermined position. The ribbon l led in through a ribbon inlet 4f is brought into contact with the transfer roller 46 to which a force for tensioning is given by the leaf spring 4c, and the ribbon is supplied with an ink. Due to a frictional force between the ribbon 1 and the roller 4b, the roller 4b and an inking roller 4a are rotated. The ribbon 1 with the ink adhered thereto is squeezed by guide posts 4e, whereby the ink is forcibly infiltrated into the ribbon. |
