(2-Halo-10-oxy-4H -benzo(4,5)cyclohepta(1,2b) thiophen-4-ylidene) acetic acids (I) and their hydrolysable esters and salts are new. (I) is esp. a cpd. of formula (Ia). R1 = H or 1-4C alkyl; R2 = halogen. - 2-Chloro-10-methoxy-4H-benzo (4,5)cyclohepta(1,2-b)thiophen- 4-ylidene) acetic acid (Ib) and the corresp. 4-bromo cpds., and their Et esters are specifically claimed. The cpds. are esp. in cis-iso-meric form. |
