<p>Modified, low mol. wt., polyethylene having a melting point of 104-135 degrees C, a low viscosity in the region of 20-150 cP at 149 degrees C, a softening stiffness at 25 degrees C/100g/5 secs of 0-5, a waxy consistency and shell-like fracture, is prepared by heating polyethylene in mixture with an (in)organic peroxide for =6 mins at >=404 degrees C.</p> |
