PURPOSE:To enhance thermal transfer properties and obtain clear color images even at a low temperature, by specifying the amount of a solid wax in a yellow heat-fusible ink. CONSTITUTION:The amount of a solid wax in a yellow heat-fusible ink for the first color printing is set to be 81-90 wt.%, in a color thermal transfer ribbon in which heat-fusible inks of different colors including yellow are applied to one side of a base. With this arrangement, it is possible to defective transfer of the yellow ink at the beginning of printing, particularly, at a low temperature. If the amount of the solid wax is less than 80 wt.%, images in the first color (yellow) tend to be blurred due to defective transfer at low temperatures (15 deg.C or below), whereas if the amount is more than 90 wt.%, the amount of a coloring agent is small, and printed density will be low, resulting in unfauable product.
