VIBRATION DAMPING METAL SHEET.

Vibration damping sheet consists of two metal sheets bonded by interposed particles which are generally uniformly distributed and dig into the sheets. The bonded area of the sheets is 0.5-50% and in other portions the sheets are in simple contact. The metal sheets are made of, e.g., ordinary steel, carbon tool steel or other special steel, Al, Ti or Ni and pref. at least one of them is clad metal. The interposed particles are, e.g. ceramic and their average dia. normal to their long axis is pref. 100-1000 microns.
