PURPOSE:To reduce the overshoot and undershoot of the output voltage of a DC power source by providing an input voltage detector in the power source. CONSTITUTION:A DC power source is composed of a primary power source 1 for supplying a DC power, an energy bank 2 for storing and discharging the power, a power converter 3, and a rectifying and smoothing circuit 6, and supplies power to a load 7. Its controller is composed of a control circuit 13, a triangular wave generator 9 and an auxiliary power source 8 for supplying power thereto. In this case, an input voltage detector 14 for detecting an input voltage, varying a power to be supplied to the generator 9 and regulating the peak value of the output triangular wave VT of the generator 9 is provided. Thus, if the voltage of the power source 1 is abruptly varied, the power supplied to the generator 9 is varied to alter the peak value of the triangular wave VT, thereby reducing the influence of the input voltage fluctuation to the output voltage.
