PURPOSE:To generate the resonance of a vibrating plate efficiently by the hitting of rain drops and to ensure the holding of the vibrating plate, by providing an elastic body, which can hold the vibrating plate between the casing side of the vibrating plate and a casing. CONSTITUTION:A rain drop detector 10 is provided with a first base plate 11 forming a bottom casing and a second base plate 13. The parts of flanges 11a and 13a are covered by a cover 14. A vibrating plate 17 is attached to a part of a circular hole 14a by the burning of rubber 15, and held by the cover 14 elastically. A vibrating element 21 is stuck to the other side of the vibrating plate 17 by a bonding agent, and an electric signal is generated in response to the resonance of the vibrating plate 17. Meanwhile, on the inner surface of the first base plate 11, a plurality of protruded elastic bodies 26 for holding the vibrating plate 17 are provided by the burning of rubber. The vibrating plate 17 is held by the tip parts of the bodies 26. In this structure, the vibrating plate is efficiently vibrated even though the hitting energy of the rain drops is small, and the holding of the vibrating plate can be ensured. |
