PURPOSE:To maintain a symmetric property in the electric charge transfer of an odd number field and an even number field by stopping a vertical transfer pulse in the impressing timing of a photocell reading pulse in one of the fields at the time of a frame storage system driving. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit detects the generation of the photocell reading pulse TG in the even number field at the time of the frame storage system driving and temporarily stops the generation of the vertical transfer pulses V1-V4 in the generation timing. According to this control, at the time of impressing the photocell reading pulse TG (part 4 surrounded by dotted lines in the drawing), there are no vertical transfer pulse V1-V4. Then, in the even number field, immediately after the electric charge is transferred from a photosensitive part 10 to a vertical transfer part 30, the transferred electric charge is not transferred downward but the symmetric property in the electric charge transfer of the odd number field and the even number field is maintained.
