PURPOSE:To easily position a cursor by outputting the position data on a point on a contour line projected on an image sensor as an X-Y coordinate value by the image sensor incorporated in the cursor for outputting the coordinate value and outputting the position data when the image of the contour line is projected in the effective operating range of the image sensor. CONSTITUTION:The cursor 3 for outputting the coordinate value is disposed on the desired picture contour line part which is visually selected, the image of the contour line is projected on the image sensor 60, the position of the point on the contour line is detected according to a density difference in both the sides of the contour line and outputted as the X-Y coordinate value. Then, this operation is repeated on required points on an object contour line and the X-Y coordinate values of them are stored in a storage device 7. The coordinate value data of this stored contour line is read synchronously with the photoelectric scanning of an original picture 2 at the time of reproducing and recording the picture by the photoelectric scanning, the output signal of a recording picture signal is controlled, thereby, the reproduced picture cut by the desired contour line can be recorded. |
