PURPOSE:To positively fix mounting stays by mounting the heat exchanger by means of mounting stays each having a plurality of opposite arcuate embracing parts having an inner diameter which is substantially equal to the outer diameter of an outer tube part of the dual tube type heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:In order to eliminate a clearance formed by the springing back of an outer tube 2 wound on a helix and to locate an inner tube connected to a supply and discharge tube 7 and a coolant tube 4 connected to a coolant pipeline of an air conditioner, the outer tube 2 is embraced by the arcuate embracing part 6a of each mounting stay 6 and the outer tube 2 and the mounting stay 6 are positively fixed by a outer tube fixing bolt 8. Further, a bolt 9 is passed through a mounting stay fixing hole 6b and is clamped, whereby the dual tube type heat exchanger 12 is mounted on the bottom plate 1 of the air conditioner through the mounting stay 6. Therefore, after the mounting stay is embraced, the dimensional accuracy is improved and the heat exchanger 12 is easily mounted on the bottom plate 1. Further, the dimensional accuracy of the inner tube 5 and the coolant tube is improved and the connection of the supply and discharge tube 7 to the coolant pipeline also becomes easy.
