PURPOSE:To shorten the preparation time by installing a discriminating means for memorizing the work No., tool No., and working program No., onto a workpiece installation jig and outputting the data into a reading device and automatically carrying out the installation of a workpiece, mounting of a tool, and calling-out of a program. CONSTITUTION:The work No., tool No., and working program No. which are memorized in a discriminating means 14 installed onto a workpiece installation jig 7 are read by a reading device 15. The work No. is outputted into an NC device 18 through a controller 16, and a workpiece W is installed onto the jig 7 by a robot 25. The tool No. is outputted into the NC device 18 from the controller 16 by an installation completion signal, and it is judged that a tool magazine 1 is equipped with the necessary tools or not, and a tool preparation signal is outputted. Further, the working program No. is outputted into the NC device 18, and the working preparation is completed. Through the above- described automatic operation, the preparation time can be reduced.
