PURPOSE:To perform a debugging process with reference to the display of a program screen by displaying again the state of the screen showing the present program processing at an optional time point including a time point right before execution of a screen answer processing instruction. CONSTITUTION:A debugger stores the state of a relevant screen right after the screen display processing instruction of a program 1 is carried out. Then a debugging process where a screen is displayed is carried out by the debugger and a user gives an instruction to the debugger to display a screen showing the processing state of the present program 1. Thus the debugger displays again the stored screen. Then the debugger displays again the stored screen right before the screen answer processing instruction of the program 1 is carried out regardless of the instruction given from the user. Hereafter the user has an input of the answer to the screen displayed again when said screen answer processing instruction is carried out.
