PURPOSE:To detect an angle difference between the direction of beam directivity ordered and the direction of a target and to avoid increase in the hardware scale, by calculating phase shift of individual antenna elements at a fixed transmission frequency. CONSTITUTION:A transmission frequency switch 1 directs a transmitter 2 to generate a transmission pulse sequentially with such a transmission frequency that a probability density function f(theta) of the direction thetan of actual beam directivity varying at each transmission pulse is as given by the formula (wherein DELTAtheta: fixed angle). The transmitter 2 generates a transmission pulse as indicated to be radiated into an external space from a phased array antenna 4 through a transmission/reception switch 3. Moreover, a received signal SIGMA in a monopulse sum pattern of an antenna 4 is inputted into a receiver 6 at a sum channel and then into a divider 8 after being amplified. On the other hand, a received signal DELTA in a monopulse difference pattern of the antenna 4 is inputted into a receiver 7 at a difference channel and then into the divider 8 after being amplified. A mean of signals outputted sequentially at each transmission pulse from the divider 8 is determined with a mean calculator 9 and an output signal thereof indicates an angle error DELTAthetaT of the direction of a target with respect to the direction theta0 of beam directivity.
|
