<p>PURPOSE:To make a rotation of a shaft smooth, by installing an invasion preventive member which covers a gap between a protector and the shaft near the edge of the protector in order of prevent invasion of any foreign substance into the inside of the protector. CONSTITUTION:The front edge openings of an upper protector 41 and a lower protector 42 are covered in almost hermetical state by a deflector 43, then the gap between a shaft 17 and the both protectors 41, 42 is almost perfectly covered. Therefore it is prevented that foreign substances such as snow, mud and dust so on invade this part from this gap. And the deflector 43 serving as a invasion preventive member is formed into the shape of a trumpet, then scatters foreign substance, which come flying from the front in the time of car traveling, upward and downward and right and left, and makes it difficult for foreign substances to invade from the front edge opening. Consequently, there is no fear that, because the above mentioned foreign substances accumulate between the both protectors 41, 42, the rotation of the shaft 17 and the joint parts 21, 23 on both sides, subsequently the operation of a four wheel steering device may be disturbed.</p> |
