PURPOSE:To reduce the load on a central control unit, to smoothen a connection processing even if telephone terminals increase in number, and to improve the operability by providing a peripheral controller and exclusively execute the dial analysis processing. CONSTITUTION:Extension circuits 4-1-4-n detect a dial from a telephone termi nal by their loop monitoring circuit 4, generate dial pulses 100, and output them to the peripheral control circuit 10. The circuit 10 analyzes the read dial pulses in accordance with a dial pulse analyzing program stored in a memory circuit 11, and thus convert the inputted dial pulses into a numerical data, then transmit it to the central control unit 6. The unit 6, based on the inputted numerical data, controls an exchange circuit 1 in order to executes the processing of such as channel formation, etc. Therefore, since the central control unit does not executes the dial pulse analysis, it can smoothly execute a connec tion processing even if terminals increase in number, also, the dial analysis for initializing a function can be executed even without a hooking operation at a terminal during a speech. And thus the operability is improved.
