PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of an LSI by using an internal bus which is precharged only in its using period so that no precharge is carried out while the internal bus is not used. CONSTITUTION:A bit is provided to a microprogram muROM1-2 to show whether an internal bus 1-8 is used or not. The using signal of the bus 1-8 is read into a latch 1-5 in a single period of a double phase clock CLK2. The output of the latch 1-5 secures a NAND with a clock CLK1 and is connected to a precharging (p) channel transistor TR1-1-7. Thus, the bus 1-8 is precharged only when the clock CLK1 is equal to 1 with the bus using signal also set at 1. Thus the power consumption of an LSI is reduced. |
