PURPOSE:To prevent the arrangement of main equipments from being restricted by a hull construction and to reduce a period of working time, by forming a sponson deck on the center side of a hull from respective decks forming a main construction of an engine room of a ship and disposing the main equipment at a location near to the center of the hull and on the sponson deck. CONSTITUTION:Main pipes, ventilation pipes and electric wiring pipes and the like in an engine room of a ship are disposed concentratively by use of the lower surface of a sponson deck 10 and auxiliary machinery is disposed on the upper surface of a deck 8 at a location near to the center of a hull. On the other hand, a warehouse, a control room, a machine shop, various kinds of tanks which have relatively less equipments and pipings and to which modifications can be easily applied in a stage of the arrangement of the equipments are disposed on the deck 8. Thus, the deck 8 and the sponson deck 10 are used effectively to dispose the main pipings and the like concentratively without being affected by a hull construction so that a change of a type of ship which is caused during the arrangement of the pipings and the equipments can be coped with quickly and modifications are reduced to the same type of ship provided with the same kind of a main engine and an auxiliary machinery or the like.
