Headlamp for motor vehicles, comprising a light bulb 2 intended to be housed in a cavity V of the bodywork A of a motor vehicle so as to disappear therein and a motorised movable flap device, joined to this cavity and capable of being manoeuvred simultaneously with activation of the light source so as to allow emission, outside the cavity, of the light beam produced by the light source. The motorised movable flap device is made up of a movable streamlined element 3 sliding with respect to the light source 2 between a position for closing the said cavity V and a position for opening it. <IMAGE>
