PURPOSE:To provide superior positive triboelectric chargeability by forming the surface of a member for providing triboelectric chargeability with a polymer of a specified monomer or a copolymer of the said monomer with a vinyl monomer as a resin component. CONSTITUTION:At least the surface of a member for providing triboelectric chargeability is formed with a polymer of a monomer represented by the formula or a copolymer of the said monomer with a vinyl monomer as a resin component. In the formula, R1 is H or alkyl group, each of R2 and R3 is alkyl, aryl, amino, alkoxy or hydroxyl group and X is a group combining C in the principal chain with P. It is necessary to use the monomer represented by the formula by >=5wt.% of the total amt. of resin components. When the member is used, an image similar in quality to an initial image is obtd. even after continuous copying, the extent of triboelectric charge is hardly changed and a change due to environment is hardly caused, so satisfactory triboelectric chargeability can be provided even at high temp. and humidity. |
