<p>PURPOSE:To enable formation of a thermal transfer ink which does not undergo any increase in melt viscosity even when the content of a colorant is increased to give a high concn. can improve the reproducibility of transferred ink dots form a tranferred image with a high contrast, by blending a thermoplastic org. material and a colorant with lecithin. CONSTITUTION:This thermal transfer ink contains at least a thermoplastic org. material, a colorant and lecithin. As the thermoplastic org. material, wax or a mixture thereof with a thermoplastic resin is used. As the colorant, a pigment and/or an oil-soluble dye are/in used. Lecithin is used in an amount of pref. 0.1-3wt.%.</p> |
