PURPOSE:To stably roll and to keep a good lubricity by recirculating a recovered lubricating oil in a lubricating system, and using a part of the oil cooled further to cool the rolls. CONSTITUTION:The recovered emulsion lubricating oil is stored in a tank 13, cooled from temp. 60-80 deg.C to 50-60 deg.C by a 1st cooler 19, and recirculated in the lubricating system through a lubricating pipe line 21. On the other hand, the recovered oil in the cooling pipe line 23 is cooled again below 3-30 deg.C from the temp. by a 2nd cooler 27, then fed to the upper and lower rolls 2 from a nozzle 7 to cool. In such a manner, the temp. difference between the lubricating oil sprayed from the inlet side of the rolling mill and the outlet side is 3-30 deg.C, said temp. difference is smaller than the case of cooling by using a water, so the stability of the emulsive property of the lubricating oil is kept. Therefore, the stable rolling and good lubricating is performed. |
