CROSSOVER DIELECTRIC INKS USED IN FORMING A MULTILAYER ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT

A multilayer circuit is made using a crossover dielectric ink comprising by wt. 30-70% partially devitrifying BaMg borosilicate glass powder, 10-30% silica and/or alkaline earth A/borosilicate glass having a softing point about 700 deg.C as a pinhole reducing agent and 20-50% organic vehicle. The ink is formed as a film between conductor films formed from conductor inks. A similar ink is also claimed for applying to a conductor film on predetermined portion. The conductor film is on a circuit board which is pref. a porcelain-coated metal, the metal more pref. being steel. Useful in the mfr. of highly complex circuits. The dielectric ink may be fired in either air on an inert gas e.g. N2.
