PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a molded item uniform is quality by a method wherein synthetic resin foam and fiber reinforcing material are put in the order named onto the outer surface of a main body layer consisting of fiber reinforced synthetic resin so as to be pressed by means of a hydraulic pressurizing vessel. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic resin foam 9 and fiber reinforcing material 10, both of which are cut to desired sizes, are put in the order named onto a main body layer 8 consisting of fiber reinforced synthetic resin and installed just under a hydraulic pressurizing vessel 6. Next, the actuating a hydraulic cylinder 3, the hydraulic pressurizing vessel 6 is lowered together with a hydraulic pressurizing vessel bearer 5 so as to abut the lower end of the side wall of the bearer against the surface 8' of the main body layer 8. At the same time, pressurized air is sent through a fluid pipe 7 in the hydraulic pressurizing vessel 6. as a result, the hydraulic pressurizing vessel 6 expands, resulting in limiting the upper part of the vessel by the inner wall face of the bearer 5 and at the same time pressing the fiber reinforcing material 10 and the foam 9 through the pressing surface 6' of the vessel against the outer surface 8' of the main body layer 8 so as to allow the resin in the foam 9 permeate the fiber reinforcing material 10. Thus, pressurizing force does not fluctuate, resulting in efficiently obtaining a molded item with stable quality. |
