The invention relates to a method and an installation for filling containers 21 with a mixture of at least two pasty and/or liquid products; according to the method, a base product 2 is withdrawn from a first storage reservoir 1 in which a slight overpressure prevails, and an additive product 11 is withdrawn from a second storage reservoir 10 in which an overpressure likewise prevails, this additive product 11 being withdrawn in a specific proportion ratio and the base product 2 is metered into a metering/dispensing device 6 and the additive product 11 into another volumetric metering device 14 before a metered quantity of the mixture of products 2, 11 is ejected through the ejection nozzle or nozzles 20 into at least one container 21 provided below a corresponding ejection nozzle 20. The method is characterised in that the rear or upper face of the piston 27 of the metering device 14 for the additive product 11 is permanently covered over with the base product 2, and in that this base product 2 is conveyed directly from its storage reservoir 1 to the corresponding metering/dispensing device 6. <IMAGE>
