PURPOSE:To uniformize a working accuracy and shape and to facilitate the control of a working temp. by forming the tip edge of plural plate stocks composing the envelope in a circular arcuate section and making the passage for hot blast circulation by providing on each plate the hole penetrating the notch opening at the tip edge and the plate face. CONSTITUTION:In the case of edge forming the body to be worked in the shape having a composite curved face the body to be worked is placed on a forming die and pressed on the upper face of a kink part block 13 and the upper end edge of each plate 14 by using an upper die, etc., and a hot blast is fed to the lower face of the body to be worked as well. The hot blast is circulated inside an edge forming die 10 via the notch 17 of the plate 14, through hole 18, the hole of a connection plate 15, etc., to heat uniformly and quickly each part of the body to be worked. The plastic work and heat treatment of the body to be worked are simultaneously performed and owing to the tip edge of each plate 14 being formed in circular arcuate shape, the working shape of the body to be worked becomes smooth and the working accuracy and shape are uniformized.
