The waveguide sections are mutually twisted by identical angles and are interconnected via choke couplers. An uneven number of waveguide sections (1-3) are provided and each three sequential sections are coupled via a compensating drive (9-11). Each even waveguide section (2) carries an intermediate gear (9). Thus, with the first section (1) stationary and a twist of the last section (3) through an angle, all sections are twisted by a specified angle. Pref. each even section carries at its outer periphery at least one radial bearing stub (8), on which is mounted a pinion, meshing with a gear segment (10,11) on each adjacent waveguide sections.
