The device described can be used for moving parts or objects in a straight line, for example in machine-tools and machines in general, in packing or filling apparatus carrying out automated production processes involving the manipulation of tools and objects, the position of which needs to be changed during processing along a straight path. The device comprises a movable carriage (1; 1') with rollers (6) and at least one guiding rail (10) arranged in relationship with a transverse plane of the carriage (1; 1') which defines a plane of symmetry (16) in such a manner that its guiding faces (11) include an angle of preferably 45 DEG with the plane of symmetry (16), thus providing an exact, rotationally stable and play-adjustable guidance. The rollers (6) are supported in a freely rotatable manner on the carriage (1; 1') by two adjacent guiding surfaces (11), which are inclined towards each other and arranged as a pair on both sides of the plane of symmetry (16). |
