摘要 PURPOSE:To industrially and advantageously obtain yeast fungal bodies with high fat and protein contents in a high concentration and yield, by aerobically cultivating a specific marine fat or oil yeast in a nutrient liquid consisting essentially of a carbon source and seawater. CONSTITUTION:Marine fat or oil yeasts Candida Maltosa-NOV-SP (FERM-P No.9112) are aerobically cultivated in a nutrient liquid consisting essentially of a carbon source, e.g. animal or vegetable fats or oils, n-paraffin, organic acid, alcohol, etc., and natural or artificial seawater under preferred condition of 27-35 deg.C and pH 4.0-5.0. The fungal bodies are then separated, washed with water and collected.
