PURPOSE:To accurately measure the application value of a CPU regardless of a slow or fast instruction by multiplying the CPU speed for each instruction that executed a program to be measured and totalizing those multiplication results for each program name for calculation of the CPU application value. CONSTITUTION:When a program to be measured is carried out at a control processing part 10, the executing instructions are collected by an instruction collecting part 1 and stored in an executing instruction trace data table 4 in response to addresses. In this case, the executing area information such as the head address, the length, etc., of the executing area are collected by an area information generating part 2 and stored in a program match table 5. Then the speeds of the CPU which execute instructions are stored in a CPU speed table 6 for each CPU device type via a CPU speed generating part 3. A program instruction extracting part 7 extracts the executing instructions out of both tables 4 and 5 and sends them to a program generating part 8 for multiplication of the instruction executing speeds. These multiplied speeds are edited and delivered through a report generating part 9. Thus the accurate CPU application value is obtained.
