PURPOSE:To automate the attachment of a belt onto a pulley by providing a belt push-out section for moving belts set in a belt holding section, successively and parallelly, and a belt carrier section for clamping and securing one of belts located at the forward end of the belt holding section so as to allow the same to drop vertically onto a pulley so that the belt is set on the pulley. CONSTITUTION:After a vulcanized power transmission belt 9 is set in a belt holding section 8, the belt holding section 8 is positioned right below a belt push-out section 3 by rotating a support column, and then the belt holding section 8 is raised up to a height at which a group of belts may be parallelly moved by the belt push-out section 3. The foremost one of the belts is then moved to the forward end of the belt holding section 8 in association with the operation of the belt push-out section 13. When a sensor provided at the forward end of the belt holding section 8 confirms the presence of the belt, belt clamping plates in a belt carrier section 4 are lowered so that the belt itself is clamped and secured by the clamping plates. Thereafter, the belt itself is moved to a position right above the position of a pulley 21. Then the belt is released from the clamping plates so that the belt is attached on the pulley 21. |
