PURPOSE:To prevent thread waste of rubbing cloth, dust, etc., from being mixed and to enable mass-production by applying stress and orienting film formed on the surface of a substrate in parallel to the orienting film and in a constant direction by using a high polymer film. CONSTITUTION:Orienting films 3 and 4 provided on the surfaces of substrates 1 and 9 are stressed in parallel to the surfaces of the orienting films 3 and 4 and in the constant direction by using the high polymer film. This method produces no thread waste unlike the use of the rubbing cloth, so when the substrate 1 with the orienting films 3 and 4 is stressed, the surfaces of the orienting films 3 and 4 are not flawed by thread waste, dust, etc. Consequently, the yield is improved, the trouble of removing the thread waste and dust is reduced, and the mass-production is enabled. |
