Nozzle with an effective cross-section variable by control flaps that swivel about horizontal axes, for hydrojet propulsion of watercraft. The nozzle and control flaps have roughly rectangular cross-sections, and the latter take the shape of segments of cylindrical shells curved in the same direction, but with different radii of curvature; the swivelling axis of the one control flap is located within the swivelling range of the other control flap (see Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
