Connection between a steel cord belt and a aramid belt

The invention relates to a connection between a conveyor belt of rubber or elastomeric material with steel cord inserts, in particular an St-CR belt, the ends of the steel cords being exposed before connecting, and a PVC or rubber belt with PVC-impregnated aramid insert, the aramid insert having in the end region strips which are arranged directly next to one another over the width of the belt and run out in an acute-angled triangular form. The essential feature of this connection is that both in the case of a single-stage connection and in the case of a multi-stage connection, each end of a steel cord has a bonding face of adequate size with the aramid insert, there being a vulcanisable transitional adhesion system within the bonding face.
