Method for automatic running control of a loom, comprises applying high voltage to the primary winding (C1-C3) of the loom drive motor (M) during loom starting period, and lowering the applied voltage at a predetermined time after starting, the power source voltage being unchanged. Specifically the applied voltage is lowered before, or when, or after, the loom reaches normal running condition. Pref. the high voltage is maintained by keeping the motor primary winding in delta connection mode, and shifting to star connection mode for voltage lowering and normal running. Stripe defects in fabric are avoided by high start-up torque of the motor, which ensures proper beating-up. |
