A coupling for connecting together two building units 2, 3 comprises a member 4 engaging the unit 3 and having a groove 8 provided with a sloping plane 15, and a slide 5 located in the groove and carrying a screw 6 co-operating with the plane 15 and projecting into a hole 16 in the second unit 2. The member 4 is provided with a T-shaped head 7 which engages the unit 3, and a spring 11 is provided between the slide 5 and a shoulder 9 on the member 4. Rotation of the screw moves member 4 to draw the units together. The specification also describes a structure (Fig. 5, not shown) where the couplings are employed to connect two uprights (17) by two distance pieces 18. |
