PURPOSE:To form an image with good gradations regardless of variation in environmental condition, the secular change of a recording body, etc., by varying conversion information according to an output means selected by a selecting means. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a converting means which converts input digital image data according to conversion information, plural output means which select and output the converted image data as an image signal, an optical means which forms an image based upon the image signal on the recording body, and the selecting means which selects a specific output means among plural output means. Then the conversion information is varied by a control means according to the output means selected by the selecting means. Thus, the relation between the potential on a photosensitive body and image data is made constant and developer characteristics are considered, so the stable image is obtained. |
