<p>PURPOSE:To arrest a crack developing in the axial direction of a cylindrical structure and prevent the cleavage-formation caused by the crack, by arranging a plurality of fastening rings at an equal interval and in the axial direction from the outside of the outer surface of the cylindrical structure. CONSTITUTION:A long, cylindrical structure 1 is provided in advance with a plurality of fastening rings 2 at an equal interval from the outside of the outer surface of the structure 1. The installation of the fastening rings 2 is conducted, taking advantage of shrinkage of the material having the shape memory performance or of bolt-fastening to two, preassembled half-rings as well as of shrinkage fit. With this constitution, even if a crank caused by the internal pressure advances in the axial direction, the progress of the crack is arrested by the neighboring, fastening rings 2, and at the same time the cleavage-formation caused by the crack can be prevented as well.</p> |
