PURPOSE:To discharge of a liquid uniformly in the form of a curtain under a simple structure and across a broad flow area by providing a dual structured container with addition of an inner container and allowing the leg of a Y-shape inner container to protrude through a blowout port formed in the body of the container. CONSTITUTION:In a nozzle used for a diverter, a liquid is conducted to the bottom of an inner container 30 of iron sheet having an almost Y-shape cross section through a flow-in pipe 20. Then the liquid hits a flow dividing gate 60, passing through holes formed in straightening plates 41-43 to fill the inner container 30. After this, it soon overflows from an upper wall on both arms 32, 33 of the inner container 30. In this case, in a low flow level area in which the volume of an inflowing liquid is small, the overflowing liquid flows to a leg plate 31 along the outer walls of the arms and becomes confluent at the tip of the leg plate 31 to flow in a well-trimmed curtain form. In the meantime, in a high flow level area, a blowout port 12 at the tip of a nozzle is flooded, and consequently, the liquid is discharged in a well-trimmed curtain form as is the case with an ordinary fixed nozzle.
