Method comprises adding a proton-releasing crystalline mineral (containing crystalline hydrates) and/or applying a magnetic field to the untreated water. Control is exercised over the amount of released protons and/or the strength of magnetic field so that the cations, some of the anions, the eutrophic substances, chlorophyll, algae, or bacteria contained in the water can be removed, reduced, destroyed or suppressed. (1) is specified to be crystabolite. If both proton release and a magnetic field are applied together, either the amount of released proton should be moderate or low and the strength of magnetic field are applied together, either the amount of released proton should be moderate or low and the strength of magnetic field should be low (100-600 Gauss) or the amount of released proton should be high and the strength of the magnetic field should be high (1000-2000 Gauss). The water to be treated contains mainly chlorophyll and/or algae. The cations contained in the water to be treated are alkali-earth metal ions such as Ca (2+), Mg (2+).
|
