PURPOSE:To prevent the fall of a reliability caused by the sudden increase of the loss of a horizontal deflecting transistor (TR) by keeping the flowing duration of a damper current at an adequate value. CONSTITUTION:A pulse width control, performed by a pulse width modulation circuit 13, is as follows. When the time length of the damper current Id (damper current duration) (td trends to expand (T0 trends to approach to T2, it narrows the pulse width tosc' and when the (td) trends to come narrow (T0 trends to approach to T1), it widens the pulse width tosc'. Thus, the damper current duration (td) is always a constant value, and the horizontal deflection output TR 6 never falls into a dangerous state. |
