PURPOSE:To prevent the drained cooling water of an engine from directly splashing on it, to avoid the large protrusion of a water pump under the engine and to ensure the minimum necessary and enough height of the engine from the ground. CONSTITUTION:A water pump 12 is mounted on a crankcase cover 6 and located in a lower space 13 defined between an oil pump cover 10 and a clutch housing 11. The housing cover 16 of the water pump 12 is located under the space between the oil pump cover 10 and the clutch housing 11. The oil pump cover 10, the clutch housing 11 and the housing cover 16 of the water pump 12 are located on the vertexes of an almost triangular form when they are seen sidewards. |
