PURPOSE:To hold specific data to a secret state by dividing a fixed disk into plural partitions, setting a special protection area therein, rising it by an external storage device in which data linked with the protection area is registered and displaying the protection area by using the input of a password as a condition. CONSTITUTION:An initialization is carried out to both the fixed disk 1 and a magnetic disk 2. The contents of the initialization to the fixed disk 1 are that the fixed disk is divided into the plural partitions and the data desired to hold a secret is registered to a protected partition table. In such registration, an already registered area cannot be registered again nor deleted by a user of the third person. The person who is permitted to modify the contents of already registered data is limited to a user being registered. The initialization to a magnetic disk 2 is carried out by linking and registering the same contents as the area in the fixed disk 1, namely, the area registered in the fixed disk and registering the password. |
