PURPOSE:To prevent the positional deviation of image even if the size of paper for transfer and that for retransfer are different, by providing an expansion/contraction extent detecting means, which detects the extent of expansion/contraction of a transfer material due to a transfer means, and a transfer magnification changing means which makes the transfer magnification for transfer and that for retransfer different from each other based on the information from said detecting means. CONSTITUTION:Though the transfer material is expanded or contracted by a heat roller, a press-fixing roller, or the like after an original image is transferred to the transfer material, the extent of magnification is changed in accordance with this extent in case of retransfer. That is, the longitudinal deviation of the paper is detected by a sensor 12c arranged between a photosensitive drum 7 and a resist roll 11. The center position of the paper is detected by sensors 12a and 12b arranged in both ends of the paper and the transverse deviation of the paper is detected based on the difference between this detected position and the center position in the photosensitive drum 7. Thus, the positional deviation of image due to expansion/contraction of the transfer material does not occur even in case of multiple coping or the like requiring high- precision positioning. |
