PURPOSE:To secure such an electric actuator as being controllable according to the setting car speed without being affected by any friction of a connecting part or the like between the actuator and an engine control means, by energizing an output shaft toward the initial position by a spring means. CONSTITUTION:When an exciter unit 11 is not yet energized with current, an armature plate 34 is noncontact with a clutch rotor 12, and a sector gear 44 is energized in a state of being situated in the initial position by a return spring 55. Therefore, even if friction in a connecting part or the like between a lever member 64 and a throttle valve increases, the lever member 64 is surely situated in the initial position. When the exciter coil 11 is energized, the armature plate 34 comes close to the clutch rotor 12, whereby rotation of a DC motor 17 is transmitted to a worm gear 15, a worm wheel 13, the armature plate 34, a pinion gear 32 and the sector gear 44, rocking the lever member 64 into motion. Therefore, it is surely rocked into motion from the initial position according to the specified signal by the setting value, thus control is stabilized.
