PURPOSE:To enable acceleration of recording speed and recording of sharp high quality images by forming each opposed face of fixed cores and movable cores into non-planes of almost complementary form to the other face or gradient faces inclined to an attractive force effecting direction. CONSTITUTION:Wire 22 is driven by a plunger 13 as a movable core, a core 6 as a fixed core, a yoke 5, an auxiliary yoke 11 and a coil 7. In a solenoid, a core 6 and the plunger 13 are column-shaped as a whole, and each of the opposed faces 6a, 13a of the core 6 and the plunger 13 is formed into a conical recessed part and projecting part which are complementary to each other. Under this constitution, the armature 14 is pressed to an initial position by means of a return spring 10 when in 'standby' mode prior to recording, and the core 6 and the plunger 13 are separated. When in 'recording' mode, the coil 7 is energized and excited according to 'recording' command, the plunger 13 is attracted to the core 6. Consequently, the armature 14 rocks, resisting the recoiling force of a return spring 10, resulting in the thrusting of wire 22 and its hammering a recording paper through an ink ribbon for dot recording. |
