发明名称 SUPERCHARGER CLUTCH CONTROLLING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent any damage to a clutch plate and its abnormal wear from occurring, by stopping feed to an electromagnetic clutch at a time when voltage of a power source drops to less than the specified value, and making this clutch into nonoperation. CONSTITUTION:A throttle valve 15 is set up in the point midway in a suction pipe 12, and a supercharger 16 is set up in this suction pipe 12 lying between the throttle valve 15 and an engine 10. This supercharger is of Root's-type one being driven by the engine 10, and its connection to the engine 10 is controlled by an electromagnetic clutch 17. When a supply voltage 22 to be fed to the electromagnetic clutch is lowered to less than the specified value, magnetomotive force of the clutch goes down, whereby a slip is produced in a clutch plate. However, when the supply voltage is lowered to less than the specified value, if the electromagnetic clutch 17 is made into nonoperation, the slip of the clutch plate is avoided.
