PURPOSE:To eliminate the echo of an optical signal being a problem in the connection between optical star couplers by inputting an output signal of a 1st arithmetic means to a 2nd arithmetic means by a buffer amplifying means. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of the 1st arithmetic means 2 is inputted to a buffer amplifier means 4. On the other hand, an optical signal having a channel number (p) is converted into (p) pieces of electric signals by a 2nd light receiving section 5 and amplified, ORed with the output signal of the buffer amplifying means 4 by the 2nd arithmetic means 6 and converted into an optical signal having a channel number (q) by a 2nd optical transmission section 7. Since the isolation of the input/output signal is applied by the buffer amplifying means 4 between the 2nd light receiving section 5 for connecting optical star couplers and a 1st light transmission section 3 in the optical star couplers 30, 31, the optical signal of the 2nd light receiving section 5 of the star coupler 30 is not connected to the other optical star couplers 29, 31. That is, the optical signal between the optical star couplers 29-31 is connected mutually completely so as not to form the optical loop and no echo is generated. |
