PURPOSE:To obtain a door trim for a motor car, which is capable of reducing manhours fitting an ornament, agreeing easily with a deep drawn form of a molding trim also and making lovely finish, by a method wherein a sheet mainly composed of thermoplastic resin is softened through heating, arranged on a door trim molding tool to which the ornament is fitted, pressure molding is performed and joined together unitarily. CONSTITUTION:A base material 1 side of an ornament 4 is softened by heating at 150-200 deg.C and molded into a fixed form. A flange 12 is set up on the circumference of the ornament 4 and a recessed part 13 fitted to the flange 12 is provided on a molding tool 7. The ornament 4 is inserted into the molding tool 7 by applying an adhesive agent to the base material 1 side of the ornament 4. A sheetlike base material 8 mainly composed of thermoplastic resin is softened by heating at 150-200 deg.C. Simultaneously with the above a skin material 10, whose surface is composed of resin mainly composed of vinyl chloride and backside is composed of a polypropylene foam, is softened by heating at 100-150 deg.C. Pressure molding of those sheetlike base material 8 and skin material 10 is performed by arranging them on the door trim molding tool 7 to which the ornament 4 is fitted and a molded material 20 is obtained by pressing the ornament 4 against the sheetlike base material 8. |
