DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING POSITION OF LIGHT FOCUSING

PURPOSE:To accelerate the improvement of quality of photomagnetic recording information and reliability by forming a focusing magnetic gap in a closed magnetic path on the side close to a recording medium so as to reduce the action of a magnetic field leaked from a light focusing position controlling device on the recording medium of a photomagnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:A tracking magnetic gap 22 is formed between a tracking york plate 20 and a tracking york 21. A radial driving coil 23 is arranged so as to cross the tracking magnetic gap 22 and fixed on a radial driving coil holder 24. The forcusing magnetic gap 16 is formed on the side close to the photomagnetic disc to reduce a leaked magnetic field to be acted on the recording medium 8' of the photomagnetic disk. In a tracking controlling device, a tracking parmanent magnet 19 is arranged on the center of the closed magnetic path to reduce the leaked magnetic field to be acted on the recording medium 8' of the photomagnetic disk. The focusing controlling device is arranged close to the tracking controlling device and a focusing york plate 14 on the side close to the photomagnetic disc and the tracking york 21 have the same polarity.
