PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image even at high humidity by using magnetic toner with low resistance by bringing a fixing body into contact with a transfer body which faces a photosensitive body, and entering a transfer material into between their abutting parts and fixing a toner image on the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The toner image 12 is attracted from the photosensitive body 11 to the transfer body 13 through the air layer between the photosensitive body 11 and transfer body 13 and the transfer material 16 is guided between the abutting parts of the fixing body 13 and fixing body 15 to fix the toner image 12 on the transfer material 16. The surface of the transfer body 13 is impregnated with high polymer resin to form a toner layer having a volume resistance film of >=10<4>OMEGAcm, and the layer is charged to prevent scattering by repulsive force among toner charges. Therefore, an excellent image is obtained even at high humidity by using low-resistance magnetic toner and the fixing body 15 abuts on the transfer body 13, so the occurrence of jamming is reduced as much as possible because of the size reduction of the device and shortened transfer material conveyance distance. |
